Today, Gov. Gen. David Johnston made James Ehnes a Member of the Order of Canada during a ceremony in Ottawa. He is recognized “as one of the finest concert violinists of his generation.” and his citation continues: “An ambassador of the arts, he instils pride in Canadians by showcasing our nation’s talent abroad and is a source of inspiration to many of our future classical musicians.” Congratulations, James!
